- Action for Change: A guide to activism with public interest research groups. First published 1994, this document offers guidance on working in groups, from holding effective meetings and consensus decision-making to building coalitions and planning events.
- OPIRG McMaster's ANTI-OPPRESSION interactive web page: test your knowledge and awareness of anti-oppression here. OPIRG Volunteers are encouraged to take a free anti-oppression workshop offered each term, but this tool will give you a good grounding of the issues. Check it out!
- OPIRG's Peggy McKay award is an annual award presented to an OPIRG working group showing creativity and initiative on the environment, in memory of Peggy McKay. This award was established by Paul McKay (journalist, environmental activist, and former OPIRG-Peterborough staff member) in 1988, in memory of his mother, Peggy, who died of cancer in 1987. By encouraging environmental action, the awards will hopefully lead to a decrease in the cause of her death.
